During the entire run of the company (1992-2001) who were the only wrestlers to hold all 3 championships at least once in ECW?

Answer:

Only 4 wrestlers from the entire ECW roster held all 3 championships: the World Heavyweight Championship, World TV Championship, and World Tag Team Championship. They were:

• Johnny Hot Body
• Mikey Whipwreck
• Sabu
• Taz

Taz and Sabu also were the only two wrestlers also to hold the unrecognized “FTW” Heavyweight Championship.

Note that RVD won the ECW title, but he did so at ECW One Night Stand in 2006 when it was with WWE. During the company’s original run he was a Tag Team champion as well as the Television Champion. Many other wrestlers held two of the 3 different championships.

Most fans consider that “Extreme” Championship Wrestling replaced “Eastern Championship Wrestling” after the events of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament at the ECW Arena on August 27, 1994. That was the first of two shows that weekend at the Arena, with the next show being a taping on Sunday August 28, 1994; and many fans consider this to be the first “Extreme Championship Wrestling” card.

However, ECW did not become “Extreme Championship Wrestling” legally until a few days after that second show on September 2, 1994 (confirmation here). Therefore, the Sunday August 28, 1994 show is considered to be the last official show under the “Eastern” name.

Which two wrestlers on that final show also were on the first-ever Eastern Championship Wrestling show, which took place on February 25, 1992?

Answer:

Stevie Richards and JT Smith were the only two wrestlers on both shows.

Referees John Finegan, Jim Molineaux, and ring announcer Bob Artese all were on this final show as well.

• The Dudley Boyz defeated Balls Mahoney & Masato Tanaka for the ECW World Tag Team Championship on November 6, 1998
• The Dudley Boyz defeated Balls Mahoney & Spike Dudley on August 26, 1999
• Tommy Dreamer (with Francine) & Raven defeated the Dudley Boyz later that night on August 26, 1999
• **** Taz debuted the FTW Heavyweight Championship on May 14, 1998; but he did not defeat anyone in the building to win the title
